Providing small loans, basic business training and ongoing mentoring support to make a tangible and powerful difference to the women of Sub-Saharan Africa. www.microloanfoundation.org.au
The MicroLoan Foundation is an international development organization that reduces poverty and inequality by providing microfinance services to impoverished women living in remote rural areas in sub-Saharan African countries.
MLF offers a hands up, not a hand out. By providing small loans, specialized business training and ongoing personal mentoring support we enable women to start their own small businesses. MLF also facilitates savings and financial planning so women can work their own way out of poverty for the long-term.
MLF is a leader in socially driven nonprofit microfinance. In sub-Saharan Africa, we employ over 170 local staff in 25 rural locations, serving almost 30,000 women annually. Since 2002, over 110,000 women and over 550,000 dependents benefited from MLF’s programs.
MLF works throughout Malawi, Zambia and Namibia. MLF facilitates independence rather than dependency, providing women with the opportunity to flourish and capitalize on their own entrepreneurial ambitions.
MicroLoan aims to be Africa's most supportive, innovative and cost-effective microfinance organization, making over one million loans per year across multiple African countries.
